Unknown hacktivist group is planning a cyberattack on November 5

An annonymous group has noted November 5 as a date to launch a Cyberattack. Targets called out for that day include the websites of Facebook Inc. and the National Security Agency, Annonymous groups like this typically attacks organizations using distributed denial of service attacks that generate more traffic than a website can handle. However,  companies are spending millions of dollars to stay a step ahead of such attack by boosting datacenter capacity or relying on a content delivery network that distributes traffic to a network of servers.
