Ferrari's V8 Engine in a Monster Bike

Day to day, custom made cars or better referred to as toys will always be on the street next to you. The idea behind all these is to tweak cars or bikes to taste. You could see Lamborghini up-swivelling doors on a Toyota. The latest in the conversation is a Wazuma V8F Matt Edition quad-cycle built by French custom car brand; Lazareth. The quad-cycle has a Ferrari 3.0-litre V8 engine mated to BMW M3's six-speed sequential gearbox which has been modified for gears to be selected from the handbars.

 The NZ$300,000 monster quad-cycle uses Brembo callipers and four performance car sized 324mm brake discs. It is not yet street legal in France. Top speed is estimated at around 322 kmh. Ultimate power may be just 184kW, but with the whole device weighing just 650kg.

NEW! Anti-rape Underwear unveiled

The unfortunate occurrences of females been raped is not new anymore, in fact some still fall victim on a daily basis. A concerned New York company is putting all effort into developing what they call Anti-rape Underwear to combat sexual assault. The underwear will be cut-resistant and difficult to remove forcefully from a woman's body. The intension behind the revolution is to safe-guard women during dates with opposite sex or during early morning walk or during visit to unfamiliar places.

The idea was created by two New York-based young women named Ruth and Yuval, who admitted they have carried out years of research before publicising their idea. According to them, only by raising awareness and education, as well as bringing rapists to justice, can we all hope to eventually accomplish the goal of eliminating rape as a threat to both women and men.

Even though the new discovery has caused controversies such as whether the AR Wear will be a panacea to rape. The idea is still on the drawing board and we hope to receive the full details very soon.

5th Mode of Transportation on the Drawing Board!

You've travelled on the land a several times; flown between cities or countries in an airplane; journeyed from a place to another in a train or sailed in a boat from a point to another. In August, SpaceX and Tesla Motors CEO, Elon Musk, revealed his plan for a high-speed, pod-based transportation system called Hyperloop, which will be designed to take passengers from San Francisco to Los Angeles in just 30 minutes. A commercial airplane like the Boeing travels at a speed of approximately 600mph. According to news from the company, Hyperloop will travel in a tube with speeds of around 800 mph.

According to sketches, the capsule would ride on a cushion of air forced through multiple openings on the capsule's bottom. 

The company, Hyperloop Transportation Technologies Inc. has requested the help of Patricia Galloway considering her experience in the $30 billion project to expand London's rail network. 

By March 2014, the company aims to have an updated detailing on how a prototype would be built and an actual prototype before the end of 2014.

Google and Android installed phone manufacturers sued over patent infringement.

On Thursday, 31/10/2013, a law-suit was filed against Google by Rockstar, a company that bought over Nortel patents for $4.5 billion when the company went bankrupt. Rockstar is jointly owned by Apple, Microsoft, Blackberry, Ericsson and Sony. According to report, Google was filed with eight lawsuits and accused of infringing on Nortel's patent one of which is search-engine and advertising patents.

Rockstar claims Google's patent infringement is wilful. The law suit was filed few hours after Google announced their OS upgrade, kitkat, and Google's new device, Nexus 5. Phone manufacturers that operate on Google's Android are also affected and they include: Asustek, HTC, Huawei, LG Electronics, Pantech, Samsung, and ZTE.

FAA now permits personal device usage inside an airplane.

It shouldn't be new to you that the use of gadgets such as mobile phones, computers, pagers, and game consoles are prohibited inside an airplane. According to what we have lived with for decades, devices like these they claim cause interference with the signals coming in and going out of the plane's cockpit communications and navigation equipment. Federal Aviation Administration, FAA, recently came up with a new regulation that will permit the use of personal electronics during taxing, take-offs, and landing but internet connections remain prohibited when the plane is less than 10,000 feet in the air. Voice calls remain banned during the entire flight. Flight manuals, crew training and safety briefings will be modified to allow the new policy.

 As soon as the new policy is safely implemented, air travellers will be able to operate their devices but voice calls and internet will remain prohibited.

 Airlines such as Delta Air have adopted the development and have performed the required tolerance tests on all of its aircraft and have submitted paperwork to the FAA for its approval. JetBlue Airways soon to adopt the new policy.
